Cremation Urns & Ashes Scattering Tubes

No. Cremated remains are returned in a suitable standard container unless an alternative urn has been selected. You can choose an urn before the cremation or transfer the ashes into one later.

We offer a variety of cremation urns for ashes, including brass urns, wooden urns, kiln-fired urns and smaller keepsake urns.

You can choose from designs suitable for home display, burial, placement in a columbarium or sharing among family members.

Yes, we provide cremation urns Melbourne-wide and cremation urns Sydney-wide as part of our cremation services and prepaid arrangements.

Urns can be supplied alongside our low-cost cremation packages or purchased separately if you have cremation plans in place with Fixed Price Cremations.

A cremation container is any vessel designed to hold cremated remains, while a cremation urn is usually a more decorative container intended for long-term keeping, display or burial.

In practice, all cremation urns are cremation containers for ashes, but containers do not have the design features or finish of a dedicated funeral cremation urn.

Urns are available in many materials and styles, including timber, metal, ceramic, biodegradable and scattering urns. The right option depends on whether the ashes will be kept, buried, placed in a memorial or scattered.

Scattering urns and ash scattering tubes are specialised containers designed for the dignified scattering of ashes. They have secure lids for transport and an opening that allows you to scatter ashes easily and respectfully at a chosen location.

When choosing urns for cremation ashes, consider how you plan to use them (home display, burial, scattering, or keepsake), the material and style, and your budget.

Our team is happy to help you compare cremation containers for ashes and recommend options that reflect your loved one’s personality and your family’s wishes.

Yes, we offer cremation urns for ashes and ashes scattering tubes made from biodegradable and sustainable materials, such as eco-friendly paper and kiln-fired options. These are ideal if you are planning a natural burial or scattering in an environmentally sensitive location.

We provide full size urns intended to hold ashes in their entirety, smaller keepsake urns for sharing ashes among family, and scattering tubes in different heights and capacities.

Our team can help ensure the cremation container you choose is appropriately sized.

Most standard cremation containers for ashes can be used for air travel if they meet airline and security guidelines, which generally require non-metal, x-rayable materials and secure lids.

If you intend to fly with the ashes in the future, we recommend keeping them in the standard crematorium-issued container where possible. The container includes our details and is easily identifiable, which may help make the airport security process smoother.

We recommend checking with your airline in advance. Our team can advise on suitable cremation ashes containers for travel.
